Due to a restructure, our client in the charity sector based in Central London is now looking to bring on board a strong Finance Manager. The role is a six-month fixed-term contract that will probably be extended. Your role will be to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual assessments, audits and checks are complete to ensure accuracy of financial data and reconciliations. Reporting to the Finance Director, the job description is as follows:
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager Role
- Production of annual statutory financial accounts, including the audit schedules
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns for the company and its trading subsidiaries and associated entities.
- Oversee the preparation and production of the monthly, quarterly and annual draft financial information
- Ensure effective cash flow budgeting/forecasting and Treasury management
- Manage the Accounts Payable Team, ensuring efficient financial procedures and maintaining the appropriate financial controls are in place
- Oversee and manage the purchase order system from processing of supplier invoices to payment, processing of staff expenses including reimbursement, and company credit cards
Requirements of the Finance Manager Role
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified with a minimum of 3 years PQE
- Proven track record of managing and developing a team
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, including the ability to set up multi-sheet, multi-file financial models
- Experience of UK Financial Reporting Standards and UK GAAP
- Charity, service or contract-driven background is a huge bonus
