Due to a recent internal promotion, a successful medium-sized business based in South-East London is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Finance Manager permanently. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2 days per week spent working from home. Reporting to the Financial Controller and supervising several finance staff, the Finance Manager will:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and write any associated commentaries.
- Support the short/medium/long-term budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis.
- Oversee the treasury function for the company.
- Provide real-time profitability analysis and report on any factors or market trends that may affect the company's performance.
- Perform cost control reviews.
- Supervise junior members of the finance team.
- Design and implement any procedures that will increase effectiveness.
- Act as a finance business partner to internal stakeholders and build strong working relationships with these stakeholders.
The role would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant with excellent MS Excel skills, coupled with at least 5 years of management/financial accounting experience. You must have supervised staff before and be comfortable working on various finance systems. As mentioned above, the Finance Manager MUST possess strong MS Excel skills as they are used heavily in this role, and there will be an MS Excel test as part of the interview process.
