Finance Assistant

Our client based near Orpington in Kent is looking for a Finance Assistant to join a small yet busy accounts team. Training and support will be provided by existing team members in all aspects of this varied role.  Responsibilities include:-

  • Purchase Ledger
  • Match purchase orders and process purchase invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements and prepare supplier payment runs
  • Post payments to Sage Line 50
  • Sales Ledger
  • Raise invoices in MIS system, upload to Sage, file with job file
  • Raise credit notes if required, obtaining authorisation
  • Update receipts to Sage daily
  • Credit Control
  • Follow credit control processes by email and phone to prompt overdue debtors
  • Payroll
  • Collate employee over-time sheets for payroll manager on a monthly basis
  • Ad-hoc accounts administration

Prospective candidates must have proven experience in a similar role coupled with a positive and enthusiastic outlook.  Please note that this role is office-based.
