A successful franchise business operating two car repair body shops, with a staff of 50 across two sites in South London and Sussex, is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join them at their main office in South London.
This is a dynamic role where you will act as the financial linchpin supporting both sites, ensuring financial accuracy and seamless communication across the business.
Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper Role:
- Manage daily bookkeeping (AP/AR, bank reconciliations, data entry).
- Support payroll processing and expenses for the team
- Liaise between our two sites to keep financial records perfectly aligned
- Assist with monthly reporting and year-end audit preparation
- Respond to vendor enquiries and maintain positive supplier relationships
Qualifications & Skills of the Bookkeeper Role:
- AAT level 3 or equivalent
- A proven background as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounts role
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Sage and Xero
- A good understanding of the principles of double-entry bookkeeping
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, plus a keen eye for detail
- Ideally, Motor Trade experience, but not essential
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication skills.
